Dr. Callaway is wonderful! Another doctor recommended that I go see him and I am so glad I did. I started seeing Dr. Callaway when he was at a practice in Macon, GA and have now followed him to Athens/Lake Oconee. He is that good! Very professional, friendly, thorough and up to date on everything. Not only is he great, his staff is wonderful as well! As the kids say 10 out of 10! If you are looking, look no further... CHARLIE CLEMENTS!!! CHARLIE CLEMENTS! For almost 2 years, I had a debilitating and very strange neck condition that was ultimately diagnosed as Cervical Distonia. It took almost 2 years to find this diagnosis. I talked to over 12 doctors. Months of physical therapy, THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN BOTOX, and so much more trying to fix it. Charlie became a client of mine as I’m in real estate. She had me come into the office shortly after meeting her. She had me 75% fixed on day one. My condition was so bad I could no longer drive or do day to day activities. Charlie literally gave me my life back. Charlie I can’t thank you enough!

My family has experienced surgery etc. with Dr. L. Fielding Callaway. I had the XLIF (eXtreme Lateral Interbody Fusion) in February of 2025. Dr. Callaway explained the whole surgery process with me and walked every step of the way with me. For me, the personal touch of a compassionate doctor means everything and he fulfilled this. The day of my surgery he prayed with me and after the surgery I felt a little sick as I do after surgery and he grabbed the trash can and stayed right there with me. He guided me on the right things to do after surgery to further my success and he's been right on it. I thank God for Dr. Callaway and his dedication to his patients. Arch Orthodpedic is very lucky to have him. I will travel the distance to see Dr. Callaway. He's this great and mighty of a doctor. If you choose this doctor you will not ever look back. Listen to him and your road to success will be great. Our family loves Dr. Callaway.

My experience with Ashford Orthopedic, now known as, Arch Orthopedic and Spine was 5 stars. The entire process for my knees was great. The front desk, nurse, doctor were excellent! I was almost pain free in a couple of days. My experience was the reason my husband is now a patient. We are elderly and appreciate the care we were given.

Dr. Ashford , his staff and the whole office is amazing!! I was referred to Dr Ashford by an emergency room doctor, in another town, for a broken wrist.The sweet front desk staff member reviewed my paperwork with me and filled it out for me. My wait time was approximately 10 minutes and the nurse apologized for the wait….10 minutes, not an hour!!!!. I was really amazed at how caring, competent, kind and compassionate everyone I met at this office was!! I have a new doctor!!!

I have had my shoulder operated on twice by Dr Ashford, once due to an injury, then a replacement due to my stupidity (accident also). I have also had 2 “trigger finger” repairs done. He is awesome. He takes all the time you need to answer any and all questions. He even called my back personally on my shoulder surgery to make sure I was doing okay. I know Dr’s offices do that routinely, but for him to personally call was a first.

My first appointment was awesome, the whole staff was polite, nice and very friendly. The doctor was very detailed on all of my options. Glad my daughter reminded them to me.

I've been having shoulder pain for months after a gym injury, and I knew I needed to have it checked out. My PCP referred me to Dr. Ashford's Orthopedic office, and I must say I was completely impressed. I should up a few minutes early and thought I'd have to wait, but nope. They got my information and brought me back to discuss my issues and to get x-rays. The staff was very nice and professional. Dr. Ashford came in shortly after the x-rays and he talked me through my situation. He is very nice, professional and most importantly thorough with excellent bedside manners. I love the fact his staff is prepared and knows what he needs, for their patients, without him asking...LOL. My visit was like clock-work, and I left feeling confident about my care w/Dr. Ashford. They are really good at promptly helping you on time, not waiting 45 min after your appt-type thing. The girls are always warm & friendly. Jessi is someone I'd want to hang out with, so comfortable.

Thankfully, appointments matter at this practice. The wait time to see the doctor is never long. The doctor and his staff are very friendly. But most important to me is feeling seen and heard by the doctor. I trust Dr. Ashford because I feel he sees and hears me.

I feel very lucky to have found the Ashford Clinic. It is a much more personal experience vs most clinics where I felt like I was on a conveyor belt. Nice welcoming environment. The receptionist was very friendly and polite about asking and directing me through checking in for the appointment. Radiologist was very nice lady make you feel comfortable while taking images . Nurses and doctors are very polite and direct about seeing patients issues. Dr. Sandlin was straightforward about seeing what was going on with my areas of pain and explained what was needed to go forward with helping me get to a heal process. First time seeing Dr. Callaway, I’m always nervous seeing new doctors, but he was very thorough, nice. I was so glad to finally get an answer, and a dr. that actually sending me for testing. If I could give a less rating it would be with front desk. They do not realize they are practically in the middle of waiting area. You can hear the complaining and what not. The front is the face of your practice.
